A club is just a room. The people are the recovery.
ASPACE Alano Club is a supportive group of people committed to lifting one another up as we walk the road to recovery.
An Alano club is neutral ground: a building owned and run by people in recovery, open to any group that needs a room. Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Al-Anon all keep schedules under our roof. We set out the chairs, keep the coffee on, and hold the door open. They bring the meetings.
We believe healing is a journey best taken together. Every person who finds this place makes it stronger for the next one to walk in. That compounding, one person steadying the next, is the entire point of a club like this.
Our eyes are on the future: a vibrant, safe haven where the next generation can grow, learn, lend a hand, and have a genuinely good time, all of it free from addiction.

Recovery keeps its own hours, so the room is here mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, whenever it is needed most.

Who you are and what you say stays in the room. It is the oldest promise in recovery, and we keep it.

ASPACE Alano Club Ukiah operates under Friend of Boon, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 88-2167602. We run independently of AA, NA, and Al-Anon, grateful to host them and careful to honor the traditions and the anonymity that keep those fellowships alive.
Why "Alano"
A quiet name with a long history.
Alano clubs are independent clubhouses found in towns all over the country, and the name is a quiet one on purpose, drawn from the letters of Alcoholics Anonymous. Each club is run by its own members to do two simple things: give twelve-step groups a steady place to meet, and give people living clean and sober somewhere to belong between meetings. ASPACE carries that tradition here in Ukiah, and every road of recovery is welcome through our door.
